Health, safety and wellbeing for your holiday at NockResort

Hygiene measures & PCR tests in our 4* hotel

In the past summer 2020 we already managed to offer our guests and employees a safe and uncomplicated holiday environment at NockResort. For a relaxed and happy stay at our hotel, we were able to further optimise our hygiene and safety measures.

We are regularly in touch with our hotel representatives, hygiene partners and colleagues, which allows us to continuously adapt our hygiene and safety measures to any new circumstances.

The weekly PCR tests of all employees is an important part of our health and safety concept. There is a test centre only a three minutes' walk from NockResort that also carries out PCR tests for guests.

We always implement the most up-to-date recommended security measures and might also request certain entry conditions of all guests. The safety of all guests and employees is our top priority.

Safe hospitality

By taking part in the government initiative "Safe Hospitality" (Sichere Gastfreundschaft), we guarantee the highest safety and hygiene standards in our hotel NockResort. Amongst other measures, the regular COVID-19 testing of our employees is a vital part of this initiative.

Our safety guidelines in the restaurant

  • In the restaurant, the table arrangement is set up so that the distances are correct, and we cannot respond to requests for special table arrangements. However, there is a fixed table available for every family or guest. The seat should be taken quickly in order not to produce queues.
  • A maximum of 4 adults (plus children) per visitor group is permitted on a table - without restriction to different households. A maximum of 10 adults are permitted in the outdoor area.
  • Open and closing hours are initially set at 05.00 am. and 10.00 pm. respectively.
  • Hand disinfection stations will be set up at both entrances to the buffet so that the buffet walk will be possible on an individual basis. Trained employees are present in the buffet room for the hygienic monitoring, and they will continuously disinfect and clean the buffet cutlery, point out the 2 m distance, help etc. Our service staff will be also be happy to serve you the food from the buffet at any time to your table.
  • ALWAYS where possible: KEEP A WELL-BEING DISTANCE - at least 2 m from other guests who do not live in the same household
  • Guests must wear a FFP2-mask upon arrival, and in all communal areas of the hotel. This is also required for employees who are in contact with guests.
  • Food or drink consumption directly at the bar or meal counter is not permitted.
  • For guests, self-service at the buffet is possible if a disinfection station is available when entering the buffet room, where hands can be disinfected immediately before going to the buffet. FFP2-masks are always required for guests in the buffet areas!

The following general safety guidelines & hygiene measures apply to your holidays in our large hotel complex:

  • In the gym at least 2 m comfort distance between individuals has to be kept. Good ventilation through open windows and doors is recommended.
  • In all other hotel areas, regular cleaning is to be carried out as before, but more often and in between communal areas will be disinfected more often as well. Frequently used areas in the entire hotel are cleaned several times a day. The cleaning staff are well trained and looked after by our longstanding partner company Ecolab®️, which also cleans sanatoriums and hospitals. Especially in the winter seasons, in which the flu wave starts rolling year after year and we have been able to prevent it very well for our employees and guests in the hotel over the past 10 years, the best and most careful cleaning experience was gained in this regard. If possible, use your room toilets and as little as possible the public hotel toilets.
  • NockSpa: The sunbeds are arranged so they there is enough distance between them. Our saunas are switched on all day long from 6.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. The saunas can be visited individually or together by families. If it becomes too “crowded" and necessary at certain times, we will create a reservation list with time intervals in order to spread the usage out. A distance of 2 m from strangers must be maintained in the beach pool. In the indoor pool and whirlpool, the previous spa hygiene guidelines and the feel-good distance of 2 m in the water and 20 sqm per person or for a family in the relaxation areas are required.
  • The rules for childcare are based on the official kindergarten rules, as there are no special rules for hotel childcare services. It is not always possible to keep a distance of 2 m from children and between children, so this rule applies where possible. Parents should also make sure to wash their hands shortly before handing over the children. Social distancing, washing hands and dealing with one another in the sense of the rules of conduct are brought closer to the children as "playfully" as possible. Fun and games will focus on activities with as little physical contact as possible.
  • Children up to the age of 10 are exempt from compulsory testing and do not require an entry test. The FFP2 mask requirement does not apply to children up to the age of 14. Children between the ages of 6 and 14 can wear mouth and nose protection.
  • Hand disinfection stations distributed in many places in the hotel and on the hotel grounds
  • Daily cleaning and disinfection of all public areas
  • Use of virucidal cleaning agents
  • Regular ventilation of all public spaces

We reserve the right to adjust our COVID-specific health and safety guidelines in accordance with any new recommendations by the Austrian government.

Please also check this link for any policy adjustments.

If you are planning a trip to the hairdresser, post office, museum or any other public indoor space, please bear in mind to wear a FFP2 mouth and nose mask.
