Excursion destinations and sights in the region

Gothic church in St. Kathrein

The Gothic church, built over 500 years ago, houses a winged altar from the 16th century with carved figures of Saint Catherine, Saint Barbara and Saint Vincent in the shrine. These figures are just as worth seeing as the bell that was cast in 1469.

Waterfall in Feld am See

The waterfall in Feld am See is only a ten-minute walk from the town centre. Along the water adventure trail, the surroundings glow wonderfully green and orange. A fascinating experience between rocks, embankments and waterfalls.

Egarter Hof & Hofer Hof

The two old farms, where you can still feel tradition and customs today, are monuments of the earlier rural architecture in the Nock mountains area. Particularly worth seeing is the Egarter Hof's grain bin, a storeroom from the 17th century that was used to store grain, bread and bacon.

Trattler lime kiln

In lime kilns such as the particularly well-preserved and restored Trattler lime kiln in Bad Kleinkirchheim, dolomitic lime was burned until the early 1950s. Find out interesting facts about this special building material that has always been very valuable for the village.

Trattnig mill and Gatterer mill

The past landmarks on the local creeks of Bad Kleinkirchheim are the Trattnig mill and the Gatterer mill, two of the few remaining water mills where the water wheel is horizontal. The mechanics and the grinder of these special sights are very unique.
